Default 4th Tarosian - Guard Regiment

Hello, first post here in the forum, though one or two of you may have seen me in the comments on the main site. (Not anymore though as I've been banned!)

Anyway, thought I'd show my Gue'vesa Guard Regiment I've been working on for the last month or so since the new Codex release, mainly looking to get tips from people here on how to do weathering and improve my painting skills in general. I feel I've come a long way over the last year, but there's always a lot more improving to do!

So it started, as all good impulse armies do, with a tank:

    Company Commander Price, moustache maestro:

Scions. The fluff is a little iffy for these guys being allied to Tau, but they're fun to play and were interesting to paint, so I end up using them a lot regardless:

And of course, what Guard army would be complete without Guardsmen? Well, an Unbound one...but silly 7E rules aside:

A few more additions. Hadn't anticipated the Post Moderation, but anyway:

Command Chimera for my Command Squad.

And finally my current project, a Wyvern:

    Thanks.

That Wyvern has already earned himself a reputation in my store, such that against Dark Eldar, he diverted a Ravager solely to try and hunt it down and kill it, (with a Shadowsword backed up by 4 Russes, no less!) May have seemed stupid, but the thing was reliably tearing apart squads falling out of his Transports, against Wyches it was absolutely brutal, but even some Incubi lost 8/10 of their number to a volley! I might get a second one...

I also managed to get a little time Sunday and Monday to finish my Wyvern and get the Banewolf painted. I'll get pics of the Wyvern with the last few details up soon, for now the WIP Banewolf. Metallics are mostly done, just the main body needs a couple of coats before weathering, washing and highlighting are done:

Here's some more work on the Banewolf. It's pretty much finished, just needs a few, final touches before the Purity Seal goes on. Tried some slightly different weathering techniques on it, seemed to come out quite well:

I also got given a shelf at the LGS to display them on, which is already getting a bit cosy with all these tank hulls! Here's a shot of the painted forces of the Regiment on display. I'm planning on repainting the yellow lights to be blue, btw, as it seems to fit the warm, orange colour scheme a bit better:

Have you thought about going for an army on parade type thing?
