    Default Tyranids, Something xenos this way comes!

    Hey guys, a recent commission i completed over at golem. Huge wave of nasty mega gribbleies for a clients Tyranid horde. Hope to get some more to do soon, Enjoy!

    unusual colour scheme, but I think the whit snow bases detract from the mini's myself, but if it's what the client wants.....

    They look pretty good, but I agree with daren that the snow basing detracts from them a little.

    I actually like the snow bases, I think the nids always seem more malevolent when they look integrated with their surroundings. Plus it makes me think of happy little rippers shovelling up all that lovely bio-matter. Nid ice-cream?

    The colour scheme and the paint job are both excellent too. My own fairly limited skills mean I'm far more comfortable painting in dark colours, but something like this always makes me wish I had the ability to pull of some of the lighter tones properly. I will say though that it's getting easier all the time as paint ranges expand.

    Altogether they look great, really organic and creepy, just like they should.
