hmm, been a long time since posting, but excellent work on your cave and hill scenery, and loving the archers.

    well done.

    Thanks Darren

Finally I finished my first bowmen unit. I deliberately had not attached the banner to the pole because I have not yet decided what faction these models will represent In the following photos you can see 7 new models that I have not published until now. I encourage you to visit my blog where I described the short story behind these miniatures : http://pinatwar.blogspot.com/2015/12/perrybowmen.html

For all interested I have just finished a small tutorial about creating flags for miniatures.
In this article you will also find a file with my custom-made flags and some interesting links to websites with a large amount of ready to be printed flags.
You can read it on my blog at http://pinatwar.blogspot.com/2016/01...iniatures.html

Since the beginning of this year I am working on the new project – the castle. Have a look at some WIPs. I have also started the series of “how to” tutorials. Two first parts are ready. Have a look and ask question if you would like to know something more.

    part I - something about inspirations http://pinatwar.blogspot.com/2016/01...dacastle1.html

    part II – Gatehouse http://pinatwar.blogspot.com/2016/02...tle-part2.html

The castle is shaping up good, but paint wise, it looks far too clean, you really need to dirty it up a bit,

Add some flock 'moss', Greenstuff ivy and such small details like that.

Also smoke stains around windows and arrow slits (because the arhcers would likely have torches next to them at night so they can see, the smoke would naturally exit by the arrow slits).

Overall though it does look very well made.

I always appreciate your comments Darren. I am far from finishing the castle but I will certainly not ignore your tips.

Right now I am finishing old projects of mine. For example I ve just finished last of my AoW Dwarves. The whole warband is ready at last.

All right It's time to present whole unit of my Mounted Men at Arms 1450-1500. A very versatile unit for multiple systems that I play. As usual I've written more about these on my blog http://pinatwar.blogspot.com/2016/06...enatarms2.html

They look beautiful, I've always struggled to get my knights in the past looking good, must try and get back to painting again.....
