A little left field but I've been working away in the background on my Dark Angels but to bulk them out I painted a Cerastus Knight Lancer.

I'm working on Paladin at the moment who is magnetised but will be based on Gerantius the Forgotten Knight but will be called Euronymous the Fallen Knight, a Heresy era Dark Angel who was forced into piloting the Knight to help prevent the renegade AdMech order on the same planet taking over. It transpires they'd been duped by the Alpha Legion and their quest for Redemption mirrored the Dark Angels own, but Euronymous is always on hand to ensure they follow the right path.

Apologies, it's been far too long since my last post but due to forgetting my BoLS log-in and just spending far too much time doing the hobby and only keeping up progress on the blog it was tight trying to fit it into forums and such. I'll try and rectify that though. As I can't quite recall what I finished immediately after my Knight Lancer lets just say it was my Imperial Knight

He is Euronymous the Fallen Knight, a Dark Angel Space Marine who for very specific reasons was forced to take up a Knight to defend Ferron Proxima, that may sound like heresy, but it's my fluff and I'm sticking with it

Really quite chuffed with the end result, I've still to paint up some of the weapon options, aside from his carapace he's not magnetised but the arm/weapon joints have notches cut into them so they can be swapped out and slotted back together like a key in a keyhole very nifty.

My friend gave me a set of five scouts. At the time I never thought I'd be using them, their rules weren't that great and I have 20 or so original Advanced Space Crusade scouts knocking around, but it would have been rude not to paint the gift I'd been given

I particular I had a lot fun recreating an old urban camo pattern I used to do on my War Griffons Epic Titans, but this time instead of greys it was Red Planet

And I'm really glad I gave them some attention as they're always fun to have on the table and were relatively quick, by my standards, to do.

    That's some nice work

However the process of robo-insemination is far too complex for the human mind!

Nice. I like the shades of red you chose. Especially the subtle differences in shades you used on the shoulder pads.

After a concerted effort I finally completed my Dark Vengeance Tactical Squad. This was a long time coming for me, too much Xenos interference and trying to juggle many projects at once.

Not to mention just how much I struggle under the weight of painting Power Armour. It's a real challenge for me and before I even put paint to model I have to overcome the mental wall that surrounds it. Sad to say I'd rather paint 30 Genestealers and I hate painting them!

Still, if you're interested in seeing more of these guys they're here: http://www.40kaddict.uk/2016/04/dark-angels-tactical-squad-to-done.html

Or there's all my HQ choices so far: http://www.40kaddict.uk/2016/02/dark-angels-azrael-and-company.html

The first unit of Ravenwing bikers I managed to complete for my army. In actual fact I did two because I painted 6 of them . I've never been a fan of the white wings on the Ravenwing, it never fit with the fluff of them hunting in the shadows to have huge swathes of white on their bikes and anyways Ravens are black, otherwise they should be called Magpiewing! So I spent a lot of time trying to get a colour that matched the artwork in the Codex.

Some of the OSL is a bit suspect as actual light and there are plenty of things that could be improved but as these are my first bikes in 20+ years, my first Ravenwing ever and with all the doubts and decisions that eventually brought me to this result I'm amazed with what I ended up with.
