Yeah Gale Force 9 do some nice space themed battlemats and also a box of ready to go painted Asteroids too, perfect for X-Wing games (to the extent that that's what they used to show them off on the product page):

Either there is life in the universe more intelligent than us, or we are the most intelligent form of life in the universe. Either way, it's a worrying thought!

while the asteroids they sell look nice they are absolute pants gamplay wise simply because they obstruct movement physically and landing on asteroids is an actual thing in the game, if it was like an instant kill then they wouldn't be nearly as bad as they are now (not advocating treating asteroids as instant death to all ships btw.)

Seems it's a 6 day delivery for my mat - received email confirmation that it's on it's way.

Free shipping too, which is nice!

    And it's arrived!

    How exciting!

Expect a proper review of some sort in the near future. Like, probably Friday night, as I'll take it down my local club Thursday night.

    Yes Review Time!!

Best part of these forums is impartial third party reviews. I mean impartial beyond the fact that we all bought it because it said "Star Wars" on it!!

Mr. Mystery, if you do have a mystery it must be a dark and cold one (your not the Mr. Mystery that stole that fudge from the blind are you?)and to cover it with the good you do on here to others is wicked cool. It must fill you with so much "Good Juju"knowing that no one here will ever know your terrible mind chilling secret. I wish I had a secret too, but I have never hit anything (Especially a sea turtle) with my car.

Keep up the good work and no one will ever know your mystery, Nixon is dead after all...

I.....I have no idea what Brenlak said...

But yes, review is forthcoming. Spoiler? Two Thumbs Fresh, 4 out of 5.

Mat lies flat enough, is suitably slidey for moving, nice print etc - all in all, totally and utterly worth the piffling £22 I paid, especially as that includes postage.

However, arrived just in a polythene tube. No biggy for me personally, but enough to knock a star off the rating!
