It is very well painted. Looks like he's been in the field for months, stuck behind enemy lines. The patina effect is excellent. Only thing I would say about it is that it doesn't scream "Sternguard" to me. There's no first company white or laurel or crux, no combi-weapon, no excessive bling or silly loincloth. It could just as easily be an Assault Marine that has jumped out of a Rhino or a Tactical Sergeant. Other than that, it's great!
