Default Rogue Trader Away Team and Grotesques

Just sharing a few things I've been working on over the last week or so.

They deliberately have a different colour scheme to my Imperial Guard to emphasise they're not actually Guard; they're meant to represent an away team tech crew (hence the bionic arms - they're initiated into the Machine Cult, but they aren't full members yet, hence they aren't allowed the robes.

I converted these ages ago, and finally got round to painting them. I think they look pretty okay.

If you don't mind non-GW models, PP recently did some very cool Monstrosities.

Perhaps a full Rouge Trader crew in the future?

It's charming that you think I'm not.

It's currently in development; the Rogue Trader counts as an Ordo Xenos Inquisitor, so her crew is basically going to be a small Inquisition force. Her story is that she's been paid to transport an Inquisitorial Conclave to deal with the terrible heresy raging on Kepler 22b. As a result, she doesn't usually go ashore, but when she does, she takes a small bodyguard of privately trained mercenaries, as well as other key technical crew.

I'll be posting photos when I get round to laying out my Inquisition army. I've been meaning to do it for two weeks, but my last two armies

    and http://www.lounge.belloflostsouls.net/showthread.php?49838-Imperial-Guard-Army)

took hours to lay out, so I've been kind of putting it off because I'm lazy.

Not to mention I've still got all my other armies to photograph.

I wasn't doubting that you were making one. It was more of a nudge to post pictures of it. Also, again love the two armies you've posted so far.

    Yes and yes.

There are a few exceptions; basically on those older metal models where removing the integral left pad was too much effort they've just been painted silver to fit in. But yes, a good 90% of them have a Deathwatch pad. As for the chapter symbols, yes, a lot of them have chapter-specific pads. I just haven't kept the individual chapter colours on the right pad because I think it looks f***ing awful across a whole army; too colourful and lacking in a unified feel. So chapter logos are in white, or if they're an actual embossed pad, white with a brown wash.

I take my modelling and painting very seriously.
