it reads like an american wrote it to me? The vast majority of natives in my personal experience refer to themselves as English/Scotish/Irish/welsh, I mean you're Scottish aren't you?

I put British on everything, but then I'm a horrific amalgam of Scottish and English. Recent events also had to make me decide between Separatist or Unionist, too. :P

As an American (genetic mongrel) I can't totally identify with any one nationality. From researching the family tree I am mostly Scottish/Irish with a healthy mix of English, German, Russian and Native American among others.
