Its mandatory they're educated, I think you have to specifically register them as home schooled to avoid the fines.
Possibly entitles you to funding? IDK. I know homeschooling is a real thing.

While I think its daft not to get vaccinations I don't like the idea of it being mandatory. Education and accurate facts are necessary though.

When people ignore facts and evidence though, how can you help them? More importantly, how can you help their children?

There's very few legitimate reasons not to vaccinate children - and adults - and all of them are already in place. Compromised immune systems, etc, etc.

I know. Forcing people to undergo medical procedures of anytype doesn't sit well with me.

There are huge disadvantages to the public health if you allow people not to get immunisations though, so thats why its mandatory.

Yeah I understand herd immunity.
It's like CG put it though "seems a little bit fascist"

People should be encouraged to get them obviously.

Fascism is inherently right-wing, which mandatory immunisation doesn't fit with as a policy, authoritarian possibly.

The other option is to allow freedom of choice and the risks inherent in that. Sometimes you have to accept a bit of authoritarianism for the good of society.

Sadly, children need to be rescued and shielded from their parent's stupidity on this one.

Anti-vaccination stuff is based on a single withdrawn paper, and a whole load of made up nonsense - not that the anti-vaxxers will ever admit to that.

Daft thing? The study they cling to so dearly wasn't even claiming all vaccines caused autism. Just the MMR combined jab. And it only claimed that one was ropey because a manufacturer of separate jab alternatives pretty much paid him to come to that finding.....

Indeed. In terms of methods and practical impact on society, the political spectrum is not a line, it's a circle.

Haha, that's excellent.

Anyway, I happened across the most innuendo-laden scene in animation history last night. Very NSFW, ye be warned.
