I'm impressed by how little physical conversion there is, pulling off so much with just paint. Did you drill the eyes out?

    Cheers!

The only modelling work of any kind was to cut the noses off for the skeletal ones. The rest is just pure paint, as with 50 to paint and a deadline to hit, these have to be done as quickly as possible. Wouldn't be do-able on larger/unrobed models, but I compared them with a TK skeleton to get the bone structure, and all just seemed to fit.

Should be a much better effect once the highlights and blacking is done!

Cool! Good sculpting's impressive, but I find painting that gives the illusion of sculpting even more impressive!

Some of the hoods have noticeable moldlines, although that might just be a consequence of being WIP.

Yeah the hoods do show them up quite badly with the dust effect drybrushing. They're there mainly because I inherited them already undercoated and couldn't be arsed to clean them off of 50 gobbo's and re-spray! Once I've got them to game ready (along with their compatriots, deadline is looming), I'll go back in and fix them when I do the binding washes, teeth, eyes and the remaining details (mushrooms, basing).

    Current tabletop ready state:

    Next up, undead trolls...

As promised, WIP on undead trolls (plus spider riders), and my first foray into using an airbrush. Only a Single action with air cans at the moment to see if I can get the feel, will take the plunge if it proves to be a timesaver!

    More to come.
