I never used to like him, but he isn't a childish alcoholic any more. much more mature, and he knows and loves cars, which is good. I think they should have changed it up a bit really though, it is exactly the same as before, just with new hosts. I did read that the producers felt the series was getting stale before Clarkson et al left and were going to shake it up a bit. but they evidently decided to keep the format to bed the new hosts in. would have been better to change it at least a little bit now. a few things were inherently 'Clarkson' esque that felt a little weird being said by Evans, like still doing the Stig introduction 'some say...' stuff.

it was good though, and as the series goes on I am sure it will improve as they settle in to the job, as anyone does. It was just Evans and Le Blanc last night really, none of the other presenters. I think they said there would be six in all? I don't know if they plan to phase the rest of them in gradually over the series and build it up. could be interesting.

Pilot was good, and now onto the second episode. Haven't read the source material though.

Sounds like an interesting premise, but the name makes me cringe, because it's another one of those cases where they slightly changed a famous person's name rather than make an original name. But that's a minor gripe. As long as the laziness doesn't infest the rest of the show, it sounds amusing.
