I peeked out of my GW blinders and picked up X-wing. After giving it a read and playing one game with the core set I went nuts and picked up every ship currently available!
Now I'm bursting with excitement for Armada's release. Only complaint I have is that the Wave 1 ships are out of stock until further notice. Of course I've heard a lot of people mention that FFG has ongoing stock issues and trouble hitting release dates. My FLGS told me that the Scum and Villainy release date was last week and if patterns hold true they'll probably arrive in January.
Regardless I'm downright giddy! I'm so anxious to fly with my old pal Porkins.

Inexpensive to get started, but not cheap

So I made it out today and managed to pick up one of each of these beauties. YT-2400's abound up here but VT-49 is a different story. At my go to store I was told none arrived, though they were on the invoice (as back ordered), and at another store I grabbed the last one! (My other store, Warp One is not so user-friendly so I didn't bother asking how many they got, if there were more, ect. They were much to busy chatting amongst themselves to help a lowly customer like me...).
Decimator number two is under a tree at the homefront and I wasn't to worried about a second YT-2400, there are tons around so no rush to spend my gold pressed, erm Canadian Tire money.
