Is it sad that the Prequels have burned me to the point that I'm probably gonna redbox this one but I'll be at the new Trek movie opening night?

I don't trust other people either but at least if everyone is loving it means we won't have to put up with 16 years of people whining about them like we did with the prequels and people might shut the **** up about Jar Jar already.

I really, really hope it doesn't suck in any way.

I may do the same trick I did with Watchmen to ensure enjoyment - watch I film I know to be exceptionally poor beforehand, to moderate expectation.

On that occasion, I went with 'Children Shouldn't Play With Dead Things'. This time however, I think I'll just recall 'Bloodsucking Freaks', which is truly awful - and not even the 'so bad it's entertaining'. Just.....god awful.

The prequels sucked, the whining was justified.
