    Default player turns

Idk if im posting this in the right place.
Were getting a 3 player game together and one guy with the biggest army wants to split it up because he thinks we would have an advantage. So he would effectivly have 2 player turns every game turn.

They did create a four player rule system for 40K called Carnage which was available as a digital product. Might suggest looking at that or simply house-ruling things however you like, ultimately if he has the same amount of points as both other teams combined I don't see it being all that big a deal if the side with two players performs all there phases at the same time essentially being treated as allies. If the two players each wanted their own warlord with a Warlord trait, then it might be fair to permit the other player to select a second Warlord or Warlord trait.

Easiest and least heard hurty way to do it is to ally the two smaller armies together.

Giving the player with the larger force double the turns isn't the answer. Effectively, if it's say a 2,000 point army, he's getting 4,000 points worth of dakka, whilst only ever facing a single army in each opponent's turn.

If it is 2 vs 1 then it wo'n't matter.

If it is 1 vs 1 vs 1 then him having two turns would effectively make it 1 vs 1 vs 2 as they guy will not takeout his own army really will him, which will make it unfair and also result in the two smaller armies having to ally together to stand a chance

Why has one player got more points thanthan the other two?
    Normally, in a three-way battle, it would be (for argument's sake) 1,850 points v 1,850 points v 1,850 points.
it shouldn't matter who has the most models in their collection, you set a points limit and all three of you select an army up to and including that points limit.

If you are playing Teams, then both Teams select to the points limit set, e.g. 3,000 points.
So Team one. One Player picks 3,000 points and Team two selects 3,000 points in a mutually agreeable way, usually 1,500 points each.

It does depend how you want to fight the battle, if its 2 against 1 then playing 2 player turns, one for the big army and then the 2 smaller armies at the same time as if they were one army. If its a free for all, the guy with more points already has a huge advantage as it is, he doesn't need more of one, you should each get one turn, with Melee fought in the combat phases if the player has a unit in melee with the player whose Combat phase it is.

I'll show what I mean as an example:

    So players A,B and C, A is 2000 points, B and C are 1000.

First turn is A, then B then C.

In turn 2, one of Player A's units, his Assualt Marines, charges one of player C's, some Gretchin, so in Player A's Combat Phase, Player A gets to fight with his Assualt Marines and Player C gets to use the Gretchin.

In Turn 3, in Player A's combat, he charges some scouts into Player B's Guardians, both he and Player C finish the Grot/Assualt Marine combat, wiping the rest of the grots and PlayerB and Player A fight out the Scouts vs Guardians. Then in his turn Player B uses Striking Scorpions and Howling Banshees charges Player A's Tactical Squad and Player C's Flash Gitz, so, in his Combat Phase, so in this Phase, Player B fights Player A with the Guardians and Scouts and Scorpions vs Space Marines and Player B with the Banshees vs the Gitz.

This is how the 4 player free for all mission Carnage works it, its a bit tricky to get your head around butit works really well for multi player matches in my experience .

Are you talking about a 2v1 or 3 way battle? If it's a 3 way battle, I'm not sure why one player would have more points than the other two. If it's a 2v1, why are you and your teammate not taking your turn at the same time? It's certainly more expedient that way. The only thing you'd have to work out is how you're handling the psychic pool, and your opponent should probably pick a second Warlord, if he hasn't already written his force up as two distinct armies.
