    Default Eldar/DE 2500 list

Have a local tournament coming up with the first place prize being an Imperial Knight so decided I need a bit more cheese on my normal list. Right now I'm having issues deciding between the Lynx or another Wraithknight and some other units (like my Mantleseer). The Autarch is there to help with reserve rolls and will probably join the Warp Spiders, I know a Mantle Autarch on a jetbike would probably be better but I already have the model for a warp jump autarch and since I need a few other expensive models I am trying to limit how many new ones I get. The Archon goes in the WS with the wraith guard so they can deep strike behind enemy lines and the Fire Dragons will go in the Venom and will deep strike to try and take out a valuable vehicle, the Venom is small enough that I'm not that worried about DS mishaps. The Warp Spiders have an exarch because that's the 5th model I have and it will be WYSIWYG and I don't want to buy more WSs until they get new models , he has the twin-linked weapon for the same reason and because I don't know where else to spend 5 points. Finally I am debating about the Knight going with the wraith cannons or if I should go with a suncannon. Any advice would be greatly appreciated, thank you!

Depending on your model count and your willingness to refine the list I would suggest the following:

Autarch with Fusion Gun + Fire Drakes in a Serpent (a Warp Jump Generator could possibly kill him)
No Wraithguard (too much points, too easily killed in big games like that)
No Crimson Hunters (too much points)
No Raider Gunboat. In 9 out o 10 cases venoms are better for equal points.

    You could replace it with:
Grotesques on a Raider + Archon
Multiple Venoms with 5 Kabalites + Blaster
Venom with Trueborn + 4 Blaster
Possibly Razorwings with Lances instead of the crimson hunters (less points, 4 missiles)
Depending on your local meta Scourges with haywire or Reavers

Should be able to deal with most armies.

at 2500 pts the game becomes a bit of a mental slog as well as a matter of preserving more valuable/effective units

i would tend to agree with charon - but a lot depends on the 'tables' you play on - wraith-scythe are useful to winkle things out of 'heavy terrain' or if there are a lot of DELDAR armies around!

think crimson hunters are overpointed - the DE-FLYERS are substantially better.
    i like the void-raven - two st9 lance - better than a fire prism !

i love venom-spam - but if your missions include 'kill-point' style too much they can be a liability - but no more so than raiders

and as an eldar player i am often happy to 'hide' dragons on the ground and do some vehicle swapping if required - they are never going to get a kill in turn 1 anyway ! but i would run 6 with at least a fast shot exarch - i know ppl tend to go against this but the bs5 shots are the bankers ! [and if you have 5pts to spare boost his LD ! - ppl dont like dragons!] charon suggested you pop the fusion-tarch in there - so that might mean you save a few points - but he is your WL so that might prove dodgy.

loving the lynx - we've banned it under 2000pts !
