    Default Awaken Realms Harlequins Showcase

    Hello there!

Recently we had the opportunity to add some colour to the Harlequin force emerging from the Webway! These are really beautiful, dynamic models and were a pleasure to paint. We’ve tried some patterns on them – how do you like those chessboards on the vehicles and nets on the infantry? Also, what do you think about shadowy colour scheme?

How do you overall like our Harlequin force?

Maybe its me, but I am tiring of all these overly airbrushed model showcases. They become bland to me. Sure one or two really look great but IMO when you get a swarm of them like this, it feels homogeneous, and especially with Harlequins Id expect to see non-uniformity. Maybe the same colors, but not in a consistently applied way.

If I'm commenting on the quality of the painting, Great job. If I'm commenting on the overall effect, I wish for better.

Its the overdone airbrushed OSL I find annoying, its a style thing though, its not for me but it seems very popular, especially for commisioned paint jobs as it looks like its difficult but is quite quick to do to that standard.

The basing is also really inconsistent, you can see where its been held by the painter on a few of them as there is a big thumb shaped unpainted space.
