    MAELSTROM OF WAR: CLEANSE & CONTROL

    SET UP

    Space Marine player sets up terrain, deploys first, goes first. Orks set up objectives. Warlord Traits Orks - Divide to Conquer, Princeps of Deceit (forgot i had it)

    DEPLOYMENT

    Space Marine built himself a strong gunline aiming to blow away any Orks poking their head or rushing his lines. The Orks deployed all sneaky like, behind ruined walls with 12 single unit deffkoptas and 1 unit of warbikers. Taking control of objectives, 1, 2 and 4 right from the start of the game. The scouts deploy on the ruins near objective 5 and the Imperial Knight races towards Objective 6 accompanied by some guardsmen.

    TURN 1

    Space Marine toss first wave of barrage artillery at the warbikers who jink but still lose some guys, luckily passing their morale test but failing the pinning test. The warbikers remain pinned turn 1. The Orks use their superior mobility to take Objective 3 & 5. A battle ensues between Deffkoptas and the scouts for objective 5 that would last throughout most of the game. Orks tactical objective cards roll hot and many objectives are achieved putting Orks in the lead. The space marine landed some bad rolls on objectives too far from it to achieve. Deffkoptas stun the whirlwind and strip 2 hull points.

    TURN 2

    Thanks to the ork warlord trait the space marine did not receive his reserves and had to make due with what he currently had on the board. Continued to pound on the warbikers killing all but the Nob whom passed all tests he was called upon to make with extreme luck. Some deffkoptas died and space marine player achieved FIRST BLOOD he earned some points and achieved a tactical objective, good turn for Space Marines. Orks got 2 trukks from reserves, one packing burna boyz and the other packing the warboss warlord with his nob entourage. The warboss and nobz raced to Objective 6 the only one not under Ork control, and the burnas followed right behind them moving combat speed and smacking the guardsmen currently sitting objectives secured on Objective 6 with their flamer which was just close enough to land over 3 guardsmen. 30 flamer hits...very dead guardsmen. Orks gain DOMINATION tactical objective and take an huge lead over the space marines. The imperial knight escort to the guardsmen was not very happy about this. The Deffkoptas destroyed the whirlwind, the warbiker nob attempted to assault the leman russ punisher battle tank needing a 7 to reach, but rolled a 4 and a 2, then re-rolled a 2...yikes!

    TURN 3

    The Space Marines retaliation attempt doesn't go as planned even after getting militarum tempestus from reserves to try and take objective 1, blasts scattering away, scouts locked in combat, Imperial Knight fails to charge Burna Boyz trukk. The Orks are clearly blessed by Gork or possibly Mork as they lose very little, only a couple deffkoptas who foolishly tried to take out the space marine warlord's unit only to be killed one by one and a warbiker who failed his charge. On the Ork turn the looted wagon packing tankbustas rolled in aswell as the mission trukk. The Ork warboss warlord and his nobz disembarked from their trukk facing down the Imperial Knight who was flanked in the rear by a deffkopta with killsaw and tankbustas on the side. After all shooting was said and done the imperial knight survived losing only 1 hull point. The warboss and his nobz had to charge in and show these tankbustas how it's done! after rolling terribly during the assault phase the knight only managed to kill 1 or 2 Nobz. And then....there was nothing left, but initiative 1 Power Klaws coming at it's face. The imperial knight could do nothing against S10 and S9 power klaws coming en masse and he died a horrible death. The explosion scattered off and no more orks died in the process. Another tactical objective achieved in destroying a Super Heavy, Gork & Mork must be pleased.

    TURN 4

    After losing the imperial knight things continued to go downhill for the Space Marines as they kept failing to achieve any further tactical objectives and the Orks kept getting lucky time after time with very few bad choices. Ultimately the game was already decided and tho the space marines tried to fight the long war and aim to table the orks, they ultimately ended up conceding the game turn 6 after losing most potential objective holders. The orks took heavy casualties in the war of attrition but a hidden deffkopta was keeping them from losing the game by being tabled.

    WINNER: ORKS

    With a massive lead 13 to 5.
