Hello guys,

Just kicking around the idea of fleshing out Mechanicus by supplementing with Forgeworld Mechanicum units like the Myrmidons. Is their any way to do this "legally" or will the new codex offer these units (or something similar to match models produced by GW)?

At the moment, unless you're playing casual games with friends, no. In essence, if not in practice, 30K and 40K are two distinct games at this time. 30K armies are balanced largely against each other, and not their 40K equivalents.

Hopefully that will change, but there have been no signs that it will. As it stands, Myrmidons are 30K only for now.

Though I'd wager your opponent wouldn't mind if you adopted similar restrictions to Relics of the Armoury. Let's you field Heresy era stuff, without it becoming a Heresy army.

Having said that, might be worth keeping an eye on Forgeworld over the next few weeks. Officially, only Skitarii are out at present, so expect Forgeworld to make provision following Cult Mechanicus coming out.
