New Skitarii Formation rules??

Can anyone help me. After careful review it seems that due to a lack of HQ, Skitarii cannot benefit from either the combined arms detachment or the allie detchment and can only utilise the Skitarii municipal within the Skitarii codex. This means that the skitarii do not benefit form Objective secured special rule?
Have i overlooked something?

You are completely correct. Skitarii units can only be played as formations or as their skitarii manipel because they can not fill the required slots of combined arms or allied detachments. As only the units aof these detachments have the objective secured rule, skitarii - similar as harlequins by the way - can not have this rule. But you could always ally them with a combined arms detachment of another army. It looks like the mechanicus cult will have a HQ unit.

It should be pointed out that the Tyranids have a Formation that provide Objective Secured to Gargoyles, and Codex Marines Pedro Kantor can provide Objective Secured to Sternguard in his Detachment as well.

But considering that neither are Skitarii, it doesn't help the OP much.
