So... now that I have finished the first group and know how I want to paint them, in the future I will only be adding photos of finished models.

Hi Ray,

I'm new to this and still getting my head around where to start painting. Duncan's videos are great but assume a lot. I was wondering could do all the base painting so the models at least has some colour then build up across the range progressively. Your photos showed me what this would look like and are things far less scary. Thanks for sharing

That was, indeed, the whole point of all the way too extremely close photos. I wanted folks to be able to see quite clearly the base, shade and highlight on pretty much every area of the models. And nope, it's not that difficult and you don't have to be a pro painter to get a great effect, but given their size, it is a bit of a challenge.

Nevertheless, seeing as you don't have to paint a gazillion of these guys, it is worth it in the end.

Right now I am working on Lord Relictor and the Dragonfate Dias. When those are finished, I'll put some more photos, including my Retributors, which are also finished.
