Oh yay, looks like Eldar make a late appearance - just in time to be used as the perennial BL doormat.
Is it just me or does it seem that this fiction series hold none of the allure of the HH novels (as much as that shine has worn off with its neverending story) ?
I have never made but one prayer to God, a very short one: "O Lord make my enemies ridiculous." And God granted it. --Voltaire
Remains to be seen.
I'm intrigued at least - having a massive punch-up in a period of History lesser known has distinct appeal - especially as it seems this, as much as the Heresy is setting the scene for the 40k we now know - Imperium strong, but so beset by enemies on all sides it can't really make much headway.
Eldar come in in Book 6 of 12 - so too early to tell if they're just a footnote.
It could all turn out to be a bit 'meh', but if they keep it to 12 books as promised, rather than the ongoing unravelling of the Heresy, which I very much agree has lost some of it's lustre, it may force a more cohesive story, with less random asides to baffle the casual reader.

The last time I read anything BL supposedly in that time period, they seemed to have dropped to 40k tech/supersttion levels too quickly.
However the process of robo-insemination is far too complex for the human mind!
A knee high fence, my one weakness
Could and should be good, looking at the names of those involved. A big event, with a set end point and presumably work between the authors on how they will reach that point, looks like it'll be interesting. Hope we get a decent look at the ecology of an Ork mob
Colour me interested. Though I'd rather Abnett was writting more Ghosts tbh
Fan of Fuggles | Derailment of the Wolfpack of Horsemen | In girum imus nocte et consumimur igni
Doesn't interest me at all as I don't like orks whatsoever but I guess it's cool they are exploring a different period - that in itself is interesting and I hope they do something like it again, hopefully an era that is more interesting to me.

Big Ork fan, but 'The Beast' sounds like an unimaginative, generic baddy type. Given the shallowness of the Heresy setting, 'post'-HH doesn't interest me either.
'The Beast' strikes me more as a name for the collective Orky invasion.
I'll give the first one a read, see if it tickles my fancy.

IIRC, there's a section on this from the 6th Ed rulebook, and 'The Beast' is the name of a particular Warlord.
