Default Full Black Friday Sale Bundles contents(including kit count)

https://www.facebook.com/notes/warhammer-winter-park/black-friday-2015-in-store-bundles/942321902508998

In short, meh. Most of the bundles only seem to work out to around ~15% savings, which most online retailers and FLGSs already match or beat any day of the week. For example, the Space Marine Veterans; 2 of ever kit except the Assault Terminators comes out to $330 retail, with the bundle costing $280. $50 is only 15% savings. Everything else I've done the math on works out the same.

It's baffling, when there are other bundles they're running at the moment like the Battle Maniple that are 25% off retail, that their special Black Friday only bundles don't even match that discount.

Oh wow, didn't realize a store had opened up down in Winter Park. Just a couple hours' drive (or a reasonably short train ride) away.

Not really impressed by these. Some of them are not terribly great combos of products. Between the contents and the price, I'm not so sure they'll get many bites. Doubt they'll go to the trouble of making packaging for these, because that'd be added cost on something that might not (likely won't, really) sell much.

The funny thing is, some of the fantasy bundles would be a decent start to a WFB army (albeit while showcasing how expensive things had gotten), but seem like a bit much for AoS.

They just missed the point again. I'm not sure if they're really trying and just failing badly, or just want to give the impression they're trying.

Hey it's a start. Just goes to show you no matter what GW does, someone, somewhere will complain what GW does.

I guess you just proved it.

Now what's pretty baffling is all the people who talk negative about GW and they are still around focusing their energy on GW. That is the baffling part.
What is the most important rule? That we should do whatever the hell we want, but preferably in the best interests of Games workshop when possible? :P Ill go with that

No. The baffling part is that you responded. You can get at least 20% off from any online GW retailer. Hell, you get 20% at a lot of LGSs. This is great for people that don't know any better than buying from GW stores.

Not, as you said, a start at all. Bundles USED to be 15% off savings before GW decided to remove the savings part from their bundles. People are supposed to be happy that they're going back to what they formerly did for one weekend?

Uhh...

GW should offer bundle discounts, says The Internet,

GW offers bundle discounts.

THAT'S NOT GOOD ENOUGH, responds The Internet.

As for 'not knowing any better', what of those who don't have a local FGLS, and prefer to pay where they play?

In the UK, most online retailers offer 10-15% off RRP with a few offering 20% for preorders only, Wayland is an exception and have a permanent 20% but they have a terrible system where they don't hold any part of your order while waiting for things to come in stock so you never get your order.

People said they should so plastic heresy, they did, they should do sales, they have, a customer loyalty program is on the way, they give little freebies with most preorders now in the UK at least. people wanted t shirts, they have those now.

Every single one of these things has been something the "Internet community" has demanded and I've seen pathetic, entitled whining about all of it from that same community. Self confessed "non-customers" who think the company have to cater to their whims and when they do, you complain anyway. It's almost like the only thing you actually want to do is moan about a company.

And you wonder why GW don't listen to you?

Worryingly, its the same behaviour as an abusive spouse.

Make demands - demands met - decry their efforts, change demands, claim changed demands were the original demand all along. Rinse and repeat, rinse and repeat.

Seriously people - this is something to be enjoyed. 20% off is 20% off - whichever way you butter it, it's still 20% off. Can't find a deal that particularly appeals to you? Bad luck, better luck next year.

Me, I'm kind of bummed there isn't a scenery deal amongst those we've seen, as Nerdvana needs a board this month, and money off such a thing would of course be most welcome.

Yes never order from Wayland Games, they are utter rubbish. But they're not the only exception, DarkSphere in London do online sales and have a permanent 25% off GW prices. And they're really good. And they're having a Black Friday sale too apparently. No idea if there will be any GW products in their sale though but worth checking out and even if not, their regular prices are still cheaper than these bundle deals. It's good of GW to do something like this, but they could (and should) do more.
Either there is life in the universe more intelligent than us, or we are the most intelligent form of life in the universe. Either way, it's a worrying thought!

Why should they though? Its their call on what discounts they offer their customers, we're not entitled to a better deal, if we don't like what they offer, we don't have to buy it, this isn't water or electricity.

You make black friday sales too good and people stop buying at other points in the year and you get the Steam Sales problem.
