WIP: Furioso Librarian Dread

Here are some pics of the Librarian Dread I started last night for my Flesh Tearers. It is mostly the new Ven. Dread kit which i must say is fantastic! I should be putting on the little details later today, and time willing will have this bad boy painted up by the end of the week.

Nice, I'm doing something similar but am modelling a big set of griffon wings on the back to represent the flying psychic power.

The textured sanguinary guard banner would look pretty good on there too.

Looking good, I would suggest using green stuff to sculpt a proper Psychic hood. I might have a go at a librarian Dread later on.

I was going to start on the same kind of project, unfortunately, I have the METAL venerable to work with, so it won't be as easy. I like the ability you have with teh posing of the plastic though. very dynamic.

I was thinking about using the CCW hand as the arm holding the Force Weapon, much the same way that the Gray Knights do. Make it a separate piece. Then have the other arm, which is an assault cannon in the metal kit, modded into a Frag Launcher or Magna Grapple.

I am doing something the same, I am using the Glaive from forgeworld for my force weapon. I am having trouble with the hood.

Thanks everyone for the feedback. I've been putting paint to plastic and here's the progress so far.






I need to hit ye olde FLGS for same more paint this afternoon, and hopefully will have this guy finished before tomorrow night when my fleshtearers should be making their debut.
