    Ahh, I did not realise that a gaff was also a nautical tool consisting of a hook on a pole, not just a joke or a mistake. Thanks Mystery for leading me to google the phrase.

    Also the method used to support that scout using tweezers is rather neat, I like it!

    Just to be pedantic but the rivet gun design appears on the belt of one of the original artificer armour marines and the shotgun with the first Adeptus Arbites, both dating back to 1991 so not recent realisations.
