Default Help identifying models

    Hi all,

I hope this is the right forum but I've got a collection of models I found whilst going through my old stuff but I've got no idea what they are, or why I have them. I'm totally unfamilier with warhammer fantasy or any other range they may be from so any help or guidance would be appreciated.

    Riders with beasts/lizards?

    Prince August?

    Ogres and Orcs?

    Warriors with pelts?

    Thanks for any help

OK I'm digging way back into the childhood memory banks here, but I think I have a vague recollection about the ones you labelled Ogres/Orcs. I had some Dwarves that were obviously from the same manufacturer. I remember buying them for WHFB when I was a kid because they were cheaper than GW. They were Grenadier minis I think, maybe for the AD&D Battlesystem supplement? Those guys you have there could be gnolls.

    Best I can do sorry

Other than to say that a lot of those minis look REALLY old, like late 70s early 80s pre-warhammer D&D characters.

the ones on the first pic may be earlier versions of dark elf cold one knights?

The top picture is of Dark Elf Cold One Riders. They look like the ones that were available circa. Warhammer second edition but might be a bit earlier than that.

Of course, I have no way of really knowing this as I'm certainly not old enough to remember that far back... Ok, ok, I saw them and thought that they look like the Dark Elves advertised in WD circa issues 50-60. Ouch.

As for the "warriors with pelts", the one in the middle is Erekrose from the Citadel Eternal Champion/ Michael Moorcock boxed set. Someone has a picture of the set at:

I think the one of the left of the warriors with pelts is actually Wulf Sterhammer(missing the end of his hammer) from the 2000AD Strontium Dog series, released by Citadel as part of their Judge Dredd range along with Johnny Alpha.

Yep, it's him: go to http://www.artwho9figurepainting.co.uk/2000ad%20gallery.htm and look towards the bottom of the page

The two hairy guys with their hands over their heads are from a Ral Partha (or Grenadier?) set which has four of them as litter bearers for a seated wizard.

Wow, thanks for that. I don't remember buying them but perhaps I got them in a job lot, probably at least 15 years ago.
