    Bit of both.

You might be confusing Regular T Wells with Scumbridge, it's older and less attractive sibling.

    It begins....

Having had a look through the instructions, it seems a fairly straight forward build. The track sections may need pinning, but then they may not.

Just need to pick up some epoxy glue.

Thats a very cool gadget! What is epoxy glue? Is it different to super glue? I f**king hate superglue. How is the kit? Always found big resin kits like that intimidating what with having to wash it all and sometimes heatbend pieces ect

It's basically araldite - a two part goop which takes a while to dry, but is well strong when it's done.

Picked some up (£7.50 in Hobbycraft), along with a bag of matchsticks so I've got something to mix and apply it with.

Still need to find some rubber bands though - they're useful for strapping up what needs strapping up whilst the epoxy dries - stuff I got had a working time of 5 min, handling of 20 min, and full strength in 2 hours. Which is nice.

First things first though. Time to break out the tools, and give the kit its initial clean up - after I've provided photographic documentary evidence of how it arrives.

Ok....first pics time. For now, a bits breakdown of the Sagittar kit itself. Ready?

Nothing in the kit seems too fiddly, and so far the only noticeable warping is on one of the two Volcano Cannon struts. Though there are a few cables which won't be immediately noticeable.

Will get the Beasty cleaned up this evening, and begin dry fitting so I can have a think about what glue will need to be used on which bits.

    Okay....

Track sections have been cleaned of flash and that, as has the Volcano Cannon and it's mount.

So far, so good. Even though I've not glued owt yet, I'm satisfied the finished product is going to be suitably robust, and may, possibly, not even require pinning! No, really!

And......and I may have just invested in an airbrush, cleaning kit, cleaning pot and other bits. Now off to online shop for suitable paints!

    Nice.
But do you think this is the best choice to learn to airbrush on?

Maybe buy a cheap tank kit of some sort to give it a shot at before working on your centrepiece?

However the process of robo-insemination is far too complex for the human mind!

Oh I've got loads to experiment on, and friends well versed who can do tutorials for me.

    Right....

Airbrush and cleaning stuff should be arriving today - hurrah!

But, that rather natty spray booth? Yeah, apparently not arriving until Monday 4 July....so this weekend shall be another of cleaning and prep-work on the Ordinatus.

Though I should be able to assemble some bits of it - like the Volcano Cannon, which will defo need doing as a single piece. Track sections, not so much because of how they go together.
