Very nice.
Sculpting and painting skills? I'm rather jealous

@Psychosplodge: Thanks! XD And heh, it all just comes down to patience, practice, and attention to detail. Maybe I should post some of my drawings here as well!

    Aright, update time!

Think I've finished this guy's weapon, finally! Rivets make everything better.

I think he's just about ready to paint, unless I decide to make him a little taller somehow. Would be a pain to do though, so I'm still pondering how exactly I'd go about it, if I do at all.

And the reason I'm pondering it in the first place is because I gave the terminator a bit of a height boost! Here's the two side by side:

Cut him in half just above the belt, added a 1.5mm thick piece of plasticard between the two halves, and I'm currently in the process of re-sculpting his midsection. Did the front hoses and was waiting for those to dry before I did anything else.

Of course, making him taller means that his cloak now looks a little short, especially from the back...

I'm tossing up between leaving it as is, extending it with millistuff, or making the bottom edge look all torn and ragged and damaged to help explain why it's shorter. Please let me know your opinions on this!

Finally, I magnetised the base of the slaughterpriest and started getting some paint on him:

What about just standing the marine on something so he looks a bit taller at first glance? Stretching him might look a bit odd cause power armour doesn't have the bulk of terminator armour.

@Psychosplodge: Yeah, I don't think that guy really needs extending. I'll probably just leave him as he is. Thanks for the feedback!

Anyway! Finally got around to photographing this guy. So here he is - the Forgeworld Legion Praetor Tribune, in Tartaros Terminator armour, done up as a Librarian in pre-Heresy Thousand Sons livery. Whew, what a mouthful!

Looks great, very nice paint job. The only thing that I would change is that the power blade and the base show the same color. In my opinion it would look better with differing colors.

@Nightpaw: Thank you! And yeah, I was originally planning to make the power blade more of a blue-violet instead of straight up blue, but I was still experimenting with HOW to paint the blade, so I ended up leaving out the violet parts because I didn't want to mess up what I'd already done. XD; Next time!

Blar, apologies for the lack of update last week, I came down with a cold and didn't get much hobby done. But anyway! Made some progress on painting the Slaughterpriest:

Still a lot of work to do! Especially on the skin, metal, and leather areas. I'm not entirely sure about the helmet yet - I feel like I need to make it darker overall to get the Khorne symbol to stand out better. Thoughts?

Something else I've been working on as well - magnetising my Imperial Knight!

The battle cannon and multi-melta magnetised to switch between the two.

I can now switch between all the weapon loadouts! I also magnetised the shield so I can switch between the two shield options as well. Still have no idea exactly how I'm gonna paint this guy up yet though, and I still need to position the legs and build the base - I have plans for that, oh yes. But it requires me cutting up one of the legs at the knee to bend it, so we'll see how that goes!

As always, let me know what you think!

I disagree with Nightpaw, to me it's almost so polished it's reflecting the ice. Plus the blues and whites stop it from getting 2nd edition too red.
Just a matter of personnel taste.

Still not a fan of the imperial knight model. *shrugs*

Your Praetor is exceptionally well done, the ice vs blade effect are debatable, and as Splodge pointed out, it looks like it's reflecting the ice in some ways because of where the highlights are.

The Slaughterpriest is coming along well, very nice work.

Magnetizing the Knight.. yeah, if you want to get the most bang for your buck you have to. Good idea using some 5x2mm in there, because some say 5x1 but no thanks, they don't have the hold to really do big pieces properly I found. Even then, if you start venturing into FW weapon loadouts, you'll want those 5x2's to help keep it in place, and don't settle for lightweights either. I've got a Styrix, and that volkite beast needs N52's to hold it in place, on both sides. I have an N52 on the arm itself, but it won't hold with an N35 shoulder joint. They're good enough for the plastic weapons, but not the FW ranged weapons, which are in essence solid blocks of resin.
