Default Hen's Duardin Expedition into the Deep!

Hello one and all to an expedition into the untold depths of the Realms with our good friends the Duardin!

I haven't been super active lately, but I am finally getting more active in 40k and am jumping into AoS (with some friends who are also getting interested in both) and thought I would start up my first work progress thread ever!

I'll admit, I don't have a ton of practice under my belt, but I try my darndest at what I do and always cross my fingers it'll turn out alright at the end.

This thread will be entirely devoted to work I do on my brand new Duardin army for AoS!

    Overall Army Design:

    Theme: Underground tunnel style?

    Color Lore: ---

    Army Background:

    -------------

    First project: Irondrakes!

The unit commander on his high-rising corkboard base, ready to lob that bomb at any moment! The base is painted, the rest of the model is primed and ready to paint (only showing a few of the primed models).

Apologies for the less than stellar photos.

The stalwart standard bearer, also primed and ready to paint with a painted base.

The first duardin to get paint splotched all over him! The color lore I'll be working with will take some explaining, but the strongest colors for this unit (and probably the whole army) will be blue and orange, with all of the duardin's beards being blue (even the metal beards of the irondrakes helmets!). This guy only has his base-coat colors on so far and has a lot of splotchiness from where my brush went a bit farther than it ought to have... so once he gets layered he should look better and I can clean up some of the splotches.

Thank you for that Kristen, I had some folks tell me they were a good baseline unit!

Hopefully they'll look a bit smoother by the time I'm done, but glad to know you think its a good start!

ming from you that's great since I saw your miscellany thread and am envious of your awesome conversion and painting skills )
