And the turn around is across the board. Sales are up in all three (Trade, Retail and Mail Order). Revenue from licensing is also up.

Nice one, GW. Keep it up.

Wait? I can hear them coming now....

Can't wait to see how the Usual Hatemob (those to whom GW can do nothing right, not to be confused with general disgruntledness) try to spin this into a negative.

I must confess to wondering if the 'doomed' mob will turn around and ask for the salt and pepper to go with their hats.

Its not just the financial decisions - a quick check of some of the top 'desires' - Chaos Legions check, points for AoS check, plastic heresy check, plastic primarchs check, cheap price starters check - all the stuff the naysayers said was all the company need to do to get in profit - but the community engagement.

They're not flawless but they have come so far in 24 months so as to be unrecognisable from the sick old man GW.

    Indeed.

My concern here is one of sustainability.

For now, there's definitely still Tin in t'Mine, and a potentially rich seam (Adeptus Titanicus, Necromunda, possibility of new 40k armies, arguably even some iteration of Squats are all there before it runs dry).

But right now, they're riding a positive wave - trick is not to squander the positive feelings.

What they decide to do with 8th (if not done already) will also be a key point. They have proven you can kill Warhammer and survive. I don't think they can do it with 40K.

I don't think it needs the same amount of work that Warhammer did.

It currently already works at lower points - Warhammer didn't.

    It's already a flexible game - Warhammer wasn't.

Just needs a good tidy up, and for things to be properly organised (all rules on a single sheet for a given unit brings convenience, meaning games flow more smoothly etc)
