This is what i have in mind...

2 zoanthrope

10 gaunts

5 warrior shrikes each with bone sword lash whip and scything talons

main idea is to have the hive guard gants and tervigon stay back and hold objectives or what not and have gargoyles lead the winged creatures and trygons to battle. Old advesary to all of my units within 6 inches and just lock into assaults asap

If you are gunna have the Gants n' tervigons stay back, I would ditch one tervigon and replace it with 1) take a squad of Biovores, and 2) use the rest of the points to add gants to a squad.

Your hive guard will have to advance a little bit at some point, just due to the nature of being 24". Your gants n' tervigon will hold out fine.

Biovores are quite destructive- especially for their inexpensive cost!
