October Mystery Release

Lonelypath over on Warseer has posted that he heard from a Blackshirt that GW has a mystery release scheduled for October which store staff will not be briefed about until a week before its release. Dark Eldar seem an obvious possibility.

Well Gamesday Spain is in about a week (i think). And then the UK one is end of september...guess announcing it at gamesday (its the 27th September i think...have my ticket but can't remember date) would match up with that pretty well.

On a side note, i notice GW doing much better at keeping secrets these days. 2 months in advance we knew just about everything about Space wolves, guard and blood angels. We knew about planetstrike almost a year in advance! With the exception of those slipped 2nd wave demon pictures, they've done a good job keeping them off the internet

Thanks for the heads up Eldar Gal, so is this like a Space Hulk release again? Could this be an anual thing from GW now, that October will be a mysterious release events now?

I think it would be cool if they released DE in october... If there is a race that embodies Halloween it is DE.

A bit of pure speculation to follow:

October's a Fantasy month this year.

If Oct is a fantasy month like BramGaunt says then maybe it Warhammer Quest, I think that would sell even quicker than Space Hulk!

If this were true, it would be fantastic. I loved Warhammer Quest. It would also set a precedent for GW to re-release older games later in the year. I'm not sure they would commit themselves to do this, though I would KILL for a new edition of Necromunda. And BFG. And Man O'War. And Mordheim. And Gorkamorka.

Given it was supposed to be a Warhammer year I'd have to agree thats a pretty reasonable speculation, which can only be good I hav'nt played that game in years.

With luck would be nice for DE but id much prefer my beloved SoB.

Cant wait to see how many people post wanted adds for yet another SM army, nothing would surprise me these days with GW if they did.
