The cheetah is the fastest land animal i beleive
In fantasy it is the silvaron ridden by the fay enchantress, followed by giant wolves and elven steeds.

What is the most expensive piece of common war gear in the book?

Wizarding hat: level 2 with a random lore (how do you randomise 1-8?)
And Fozzriks Folding Fortress: You set up a watch tower in your deployment zone before sides have deployed but after table edges are agreed on.
Both are enchanted items and cost 100 points.
Second most expensive is an arcane item worth 70 points that's +1 to channeling
