Default SM Scout H.B. to Psycannon HELP PLZ

I'm converting a squad of Grey Knights from various Space Marine parts, using the Scout Heavy Bolter to make a psycannon. The main change I'm making to it is detaching the clip and reattaching it on the side. It's an unusually large cut and I'm wondering if anyone thinks that there's a better tool for the job out there than just a hobby knife (I'm not sure if it's large enough of a cut to warrant the GW hobby saw). (I do have a picture of just the uncut heavy bolter if someone wants to see it, but I don't think it will be necessary.)

    Any help would be appreciated.

For something as small as a Heavy Bolter, I'd say just use a good, sharp hobby knife. A saw would take too much out of the weapon. Especially if you're making straight cuts, scoring the edges of where you want to cut, then going through and making the actual cut can be really helpful.

    All the best.

if you have any spare HK missles and possibly a blast shield (ig hvy wpns) you could thry a simmilar conbersion to mine (stormbolter> psycannon)

    1) put blast shield over barrel (if no shield remove barrel)
    2) attach front part of HK (removing sight so its just the barrel)
make a packpack out of the boxy part then attach to the un via guitar wire/ GS put scope part on top

please note this was made for GKtermies :P

I wish I could tell what was what in that pic.

It's a case of the blurry blur is just a blur on the blurry GKT (I think).

Squinting at it out of the corner of my eye doesn't help either.

The hobby knife will do the job.

Use a cutting mat and put a FRESH blade in the knife (sharp blade means you need less pressure on it to cut. Less pressure means you are less likely to 'follow through' and cut yourself.).

I use a different size and shaped blade to the normal pointy (#11) blade in the GW one.
    I use a #22 (curved blade, larger).
Cuts through the plastic with minor effort with a little pressure.
