Default Chaos Characters - Daemonic Ritual

A Chaos Character can attempt to summon a "Daemon" unit using the Daemonic Ritual, would I be right in thinking this could include units like Warp Talons, Forgefiends and Obliterators etc. as they all have the "Daemon" Keyword and there doesn't appear to be anything against this?

Those units can't be summoned by a Daemonic Ritual because they do not have that ability.

"... any Chaos Character can, at the end of their Movement phase, attempt to summon a Daemon unit with this ability by performing a Daemonic Ritual..." (my emphasis underlined) - p117 Codex Heretic Astartes: Chaos Space Marines
Although a classic example of ambiguous wording from GW's rules team, this is cleared up when you look at the data sheets for Bloodletters (p 129), which lists under Abilities, "Daemonic Ritual". Cross reference this with a unit like Warp Talons, who have the Daemon key word, but not the Daemonic Ritual ability. As Bloodletters have the Daemonic Ritual ability, they can be summoned using said ability. Other Daemon units, however, cannot as they do not have that ability.

    Hope that clears it up!
