Default BATTLE REPORT THREAD: Night Lords vs 1k Sons (2/5/2018)

Having forced Lord Abraxis to join his Blood Crusade, Night Lords Daemon Prince Drakhar works to unify the other Chaos forces in the Dread Stars. First on his list is a force of Thousand Sons. With their submission Drakkhar will gain the blessing of the Lord of Change and add a powerful sorcerous cabal to his armies. But the scions of Magnus do not give up their fealty easily.

This was a supremely close game. Closer than we've had in a while.

I think if I had made better use of my stratagems on Turn 1, that could have helped me a lot. When I fired all of my Noise Marines into the Rubric Marines and only killed 1 of them, that was a bit of a wake up call. If I had used Veterans of the Long War more often or even Endless Cacophony, I would have done more damage to them and maybe even saved Drakharr.

Overall, I think Abe and I both did very well and luck was a huge factor. I was hitting pretty well consistently, and Abe was either making all of his saves or letting my Cultists kill 3 of his Rubrics. Because the game came down to my needing to kill those last two models, it really did come down to needing some dice to land in my favor.

Still, a great game and I'm putting into one of my personal favorites.
    Everybody Wang Chung tonight.

    It was the water.

Doing anything in a waterpark makes it memorable.

I've been feeling a bit peaky since Friday. To hear that there's been at least one good, close game is great.

I have more doctor BS tomorrow, so I will probably be MIA for Wednesday's game, too. Best of luck to whoever is playing

PS: Matt has the best gifs.

I didn't go to the LVO but I'm still a reasonably OK-ish person.
