I love the look, how did you get the black paint to look so smooth

Cheers, I use an airbrush when needed. So much better than a normal brush!

I gotta say that these are some of the looking Sanguinary Guard models I have seen. I love the colour choices (the gold mixed with the pink of the wax and the turquoise of the swords is amazing). Right now my Sanguinary Guard have been sitting in limbo mostly because I am finding them too dark (specifically the weapons...they don't "pop" enough) and I was wondering which colours you used for the swords? Thanks in advance!

Ghoulio: Thanks! Happy to help mate. I started with Hawk Turqouise which was washed with black. Then feather the Hawk Turqouise over this to bring out the mid tones slowly adding white to get the progressively lighter tones. Once a bright highlight is reached at the edges I washed them with green. Good luck!

wow. I just realized there are blood drops on the soles of the sanguinary guard feet. I realllllly need to pick up some of these models.
