Default Dark Eldar Veil of Tears and Transports

The DE Shadowseer's Veil of Tears states, "Any enemy unit wishing to target the Shadowseer or the unit she is with must roll 2D6x2." as their spotting distance.

Does this extend to a transport vehicle if she is embarked in one?

Follow up, does this stack with night shields which reduce the enemy's range by 6"?

Short answer is that harlis can not embark as they dont have a transport option. And there are no non dedicated transports in the codex. So the question is moot.

They are perfectly well and capable of stealing one from another D-Eldar unit.

Veil of tears affects the shadowseer and the unit of Harlies she is a member of (and any attached characters)

It does not do anything to a transport containing the unit as the two are separate entities.

Foreigner is right on both counts. Harlies can steal a raider or venom from another unit, they just can't begin the game embarked on it. Regardless, VoT does not apply to the transport, as the transport is still it's own distinct unit.

You know, you are right. Harlies can't start in a transport in the Dark Eldar codex because they do not have a dedicated transport option.

    *rolls eyes*
Oh, wait, yes they do. The Dais of Destruction.

*eyes roll into back of head*

Oh, wait, they ALSO have transport options in Codex: Eldar! Where you can shove them in a Falcon!

*roll 360 degrees back into place*

So please stop making crap up before spouting off, and read or play against at least the codex you are being asked about before making a judgement call on it.

Correct way of dealing with a person whom you've "met" for the first time and has poor grasp of the rules.

Yeah, because @thecactusman17 as far as i know you cannot interwine units from codex's if they are not stated in the army list section of the codex. But they can get into the Dais of Destruction. But the way you delt with it was... bad.
And i don't believe it would affect vehichles, as it says that it affects the unit targeting the shadowseer and the unit it is in, but if it where to be shooting at a vehichle it is targeting the vehcihle , not the actual unit.

    Thanks. I appreciate the clarification.
