Default 2K crons vs 2k GK. Who will win?

I alredy own 3K of knights, and will prob buy this 2K necron army.

But who would win if they smashed togther (and they will)?

GK: Termies will jump into the raven. Rest dosent need much explanin.

Crons: Stalkers will hide behind their own personl guard of 3 spiders for a nice 4+ save (spiders can allocate wounds all day). scarabs can destroy transports, contest obj, stall and so on. Trazyn will jump with his lychguards + veil cryptek. rest of the teks go into their own immortal squad.

So who would win on a balanced board in an obj game?

49 grey knight infantry models counting HQ

    41 necron infantry models

    Necrons lose.

You dont have enough dakka for the necrons to win. The grey knight list should start hitting the necrons on turn 2. GK force weapons will make quick work of the scarabs and spyders in a turn 2 at the most and the rest of your list will just crumple.

The spyders are not even close to big enough to give the stalkers a cover save.

"D*** it, Sam! Stop counting to such high numbers!"

Thats was a mistake. The Knights only have 36 models (dont know how the extra 6 termies got in there).

I dont think driving straight into the necrons is a smart choice.

Stalker are armed with 24" range meltas with two shots.

How do you know? The models are not even out yet?

    2 stalkers with 24" range VS 4 48" twin linked lascannons, 8 36" (i think) psycannons, 1 multimelta/ assult cannon storm raven.

I doubt the stalkers will ever even get a shot off.

At range or in CC the posted necron list has a very small chance of beating the posted GK list with two equally skilled players. Unless of course both players are equally unskilled; then it could go either way.

A couple of multimeltas really isn't that impressive. Psycannons are only 24", though.

If played right, I think that the Necrons will win, thanks to the heavily mechanized nature of the Grey Knights. The scarabs are going to make pretty short work of the vehicles after Spyder support, and at that point the Grey Knights have to either dedicate to killing the spyders and scarabs, or on killing the immortals. Trazyn could be a serious threat, adding the GK shooting (TL Lascannons, multi-meltas, and assault cannon? Excellent anti-tank options to control, all over). Given that Immortals and GK are limited to the same 24" range, the Necrons can handily control the game if they can pop or stop those tanks in the backfield. The WBB/RP/EL rolls are going to dramatically improve the long-term survivability of the Necrons so long as they can keep out of combat.
