Default Human armies (or lack thereof)

I was sitting in my local GW when it struck me that there was a serious lack of human representation in Warhammer fantasy. Out of the dozen armies, there are only two human factions in a world where humans are meant to be the most populous race (Skaven aside of course!) A few of the buddies of mine and I were considering that maybe adding an army of humans that use pikes and Crossbows like Spanish Squares in the late renaissance period. What about you guys? What do you think would make a nice addition to the Warhammer world?

I think they just need to bring back Kislev. It's already been a part of their universe!

There are 15 factions in Warhammer; soon to be 16 if they actually add Chaos Dwarfs.

Sounds like Dogs of War to me! And I'd be all for bringing them back into the spotlight!

I agree with wittdooley. Kislev were awesome. The model of a guy on a polar bear. Brilliant.

Cathay, Araby. Two other areas that have human presense/armies but do not have models yet. Given time, they could be represented, but other armies might have to go on hiatus for a while, unless the game is gaining that much momentum over the past few years.

I personally would love to see a Cathayan army finally. Ninja and Samurai that don't look like rats would be cool in Warhammer.

As mentioned, there is also, kinda-sorta, Kislev and Dogs of War/Regiments of Renown (representing Tilea, Estalia, and the Border Princes, to an extent).

I would be all for a full Army Book for Kislev.

God would I love to see some bear Cavalry. Sweet lord, would i Love that.

I'd also love to see some Araby with Djinns and Flying Carpet Cav.... But one can wish, can't he?

Now technically, GW have already done an army for Araby. But for Warmaster rather than WFB. See the GW website, http://www.games-workshop.com/gws/catalog/armySubUnitCats.jsp?catId=cat1490419&rootCatGameSt yle= .

I only found this when looking through the Specialist Games catalogue.

They look really good, I mean troops on flying carpets!

But I'm not going to play a game that no one else plays, so I'm not going to buy them.

It is a pity that there aren't afew more human armies in WFB.
