Hi, I'm a 40k/Fantasy player who has a long and deep love of the PC games franchise Homeworld. Homeworld is a highly polished 3D tactical RTS set entirely in space, with full 3D movement etc.
While there are a few interesting things about space combat in 40k, ultimately I'd love to introduce Homeworld to my fellow FLGS gamers (none of us play BFG) in a gaming system they'd be more likely to understand.
To do this, I'd need to be able to detail: fighter combat, carrier engagements, flotilla combat (smaller combat ships that aren't fighters, like patrol boat and cruiser type stuff) , and perhaps something like a "mothership,' a unit that can best represent a sort of deceptively fragile fleet-leading super-ship.
Can BFG games be worked to model this sort of system?
