Very nice for a Crone to Vector Strike a tank then go for Pathfinders/Dire Avengers, or a Flyrant to get to the side or rear armour of a vehicle and pump it with 12 S6 twin-linked shots.
And...swooping is a 2d6 run, which you get to reroll from the AGs. That + onslaught seems decent on paper. I'd like to see how it works in actual games. I don't typically like to get my flying MCs hanging out by themselves.

I worked it out and you can take two Flyrants with double brain leech devourers, two Crones and one Harpy for 855 points. FMC spam is a thing Even at 1500 points, that's still enough for two Tervigons and sixty Termagants!

Including Adrenal Glands and Toxin Sacs on all the flying MCs?

    Not bad!

Points lowered, new toys added, some classics altered....

Not exactly sounding like a disaster book at all.

Particularly Nids with EMP....Tentaclids sound pretty awesome, and help to get round ranged tank breaking that has traditionally been a weaker hand of Tyranids.

Nah, all bare bones. I don't think they really need them anyway.

Lots of info being posted over at the Tyranid Hive right now.

    Warlord Traits:

1 - Nature's Bane - At the beginning of each movement phase, select one jungle within 12' of the warlord. It becomes carnivorous for the game.

2 - Heightened Senses - Warlord and Nids within 12' have Night Vision.

3- Synaptic Linchpin - Warlord has 18' synapse

4 - Mind Eater - 2 VP for independents slain by warlord in a challenge.

5 - Digestive Denial - After deployment, pick one piece of terrain on opponent's side that was NOT paid for. Cover save worsens by one. (4+ becomes 5+, etc.)

6 - Adaptive Biology - Warlord gains FNP (5+) on next movement phase after it suffers a wound. (For rest of game)

Now, on account I can't be arsed to trawl this entire thread....

    Does Synapse grant Eternal Warrior?

Only good news I see is regeneration is 4+. If you can also get it will not die than that's rather good.

Other than that looks like a nerf again. Another nerf, GW haughty! Anyway we haven't seen the actually book yet. We still don't know unit abilities and cost. However I am disappointed with the psychic chart. Synapses sure better be really good.

Again, so much opinion without having created an army, let alone played with it.

Everyone, relax. It's fine. It's a new book. Not the end of the world. Stuff got cheaper, some of it greatly cheaper. Means more stuff on the board, making it harder for your opponent to deal with everything.

These fit with what we have previously heard. Impressions...

    1) EDIT: Checked again what Carnivorous Jungles were, had them mixed up with the decent ones. Ignore.
    2) Pretty fine if you ask me, though most Tyranid shooting is very short ranged, so not too useful. Very good for Exocrines and Biovores.
    3) Ok.
    4) Very nice, this is presumably what Deathleaper has.
    5) That's actually pretty cool!
    6) Oh yes. This is great.

Very nice Warlord Trait set actually. Not really competitive.....but cool and fun, which is more than nothing!

    By the by....we have the following from 4chan;
    T-fex - 175 base
    Mawloc - 140 base
    Trygon Prime - 230 base
    Carnifex - 120 base
    Harpy - 135 base
    Crone - 155 base
Haruspex - 160 base (has just 3 attacks +1 from 2 pairs of hands)
Mawloc slightly more than I thought, but still great for the cost. Already knew a lot of the other stuff. Interestingly, the Tyrannofex being 175 base means that the Rupture Cannon is now a 20 point upgrade instead of 15....possible Rupture Cannon stat change? Either way, Tyrannofex dropping 75 points base is absolutely ridiculous!

The big one for me is the Haruspex. For 160 points, that is really good. 4 attacks base, S8 with Armourbane attacks, regains wounds by inflicting casualties, gains attacks by suffering wounds. Oh yes, the Haruspex is very good. Not too fast as a ground MC, but still very good for the cost. T6 W5 3+ with potential Catalyst should keep it going. Very happy with this!
