Default Relaxdesign Minis, 20,000 pts of Red Scorpions. Recent additions: Assault squad

Relaxdesign Minis
Quality commission painting.

Just thought I'd share with you a few pics of my Red Scorpions which I'm currently working on that can also be found on my Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/RelaxdesignMinis , Flickr feed: http://tinyurl.com/k3el6yy and eventually on a website (when I get around to it).
I also accept commissions.

I've got roughly eight squads plus transports as well as a Relic Contemptor from Forgeworld left to go.

I'm painting them to what I'd refer to as a high table top standard rather than a competition one due to the size of the force, I don't want to paint marines forever

It's pretty large and, when complete, will consist of a full battle company, pretty much a full Chapter HQ and a large Ad Mech section along with lots of other goodies.

Once complete I'll be selling it in battle groups contained in KR Multicases on eBay to fund my next force (possibly Forgeworld's Heresy era Mechanicus) as well as hopefully advertise my painting services.

My Facebook page also has painting and hobby guides in the albums: https://www.facebook.com/RelaxdesignMinis/photos_albums (which I'll be updating at some point) for those that are interested.

Lots more detailed pics and close ups in my Facebook album: http://tinyurl.com/d8347zq and I'll post more photos here as I complete them.

Any comments or criticism most welcome.

Wow. This is just an excellent body of work. I took a long look at the Flickr collection of photos as well. I like the way you've mixed in old and new models from GW as well as FW. The work on bases is amazing. The conversions are very well done. I really like the Techmarine on a Bike. Its simple yet somehow perfect for what it is. The lighting effect you have from all the different sources is very well done too. If I had one suggestion it would be to drill out the assault cannon barrels. I see you've done it for everything else but none of the assault cannons have it done. Not a single one. Maybe its just me being picky on an otherwise 99% perfect blend of modelling and painting. Rest assured this is definitely a fantastic showcase for your skills. I love seeing large, single codex/chapter armies like this, painted or not. I have you beat on overall model count and points with a hair over 50k points in a little over 6 companies, but nowhere near the amount or level of painted stuff. My hats off to you and keep it up.

Assault cannons, dammit, do you know for some reason it hadn't even crossed my mind to drill the rotating barrels even though it seems obvious now and I'm usually pretty fussy about these things.
If only you'd seen the photos before I'd finished all the models that have them as not one person in nearly three year's has mentioned it, ah well, guess I'll be spending a day drilling barrels in the near future.
Thank you for letting me know anyway, I appreciate it.

Cheers for the Kind words as well, I've been trying to use as much of the space marine range from GW and FW both new and old as seems appropriate to achieve as much visual variety in the force as I can and also to give plenty of options for flexibility in the game.
As well as showcasing the skill of their sculptors/designers over the years which I hope I've achieved and I'm glad you noticed

Right I'm off to get my drill, thanks again, I think

I don't usually pull out .jpg's around here, since not everyone does it. But I can't help it here.

Where are the Dreadnaughts? They always were my favorite parts of my 'Marines.
