APOC - Titan weapons - ordnance

re-reading the titan rules APOC pg 91, assault phase.

'counts as hits from ordnance'

Is this just a relic from the old chart? or is there a way to update it?
Considering they already roll as Monstrous for pen, the ord (roll 2, take high) is just duping what they already have.

The old ord chart was +1 right? anyway, just curious.

afaik you roll 2d6, use the hgihest and then add another (3rd) d6.

it is what I remember from the gladiator-FAQ.

and it makes sense because you are both ordnance (roll 2 pick highest) and monstrous creature (add a 2nd d6 to your "normal" armor pen of s+d6).
