    Default How do you paint Word Bearers?

    ive tried diff colours and cant seem to get it right i want mine to look like the ones from the chaos space marines codex on pg 69, ty.

    I don't have my codex with me, but I did my WB's a base coat of scab red with blood red highlights & boltgun trim, offset by blue power weapons, looks pretty decent. the old codex said they did the scheme using a scab red base followed by majenta ink, not particularly useful now, with the inks discontinued, but it could help out.

    Here's my last Word Bearer mini:



    The armour is indeed Scab Red (followed by a coat of red inkt) and with very subtle highlights using watered down bubonic brown. The yellowish brown really helps to add depth to the otherwise rather dull red armour.

    @ Big Red - love those old school Word Bearers!

    That's really nice! You may have just inspired me to attempt a few more of my undercoated Word Bearers.
    Cats and Dogs are better than kids because they eat less, don't ask for money and if they get pregnant you can sell their children.
